Bob received his Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University in 1972 and immediately entered the insurance industry. Bob received his Certified Insurance Counselor Designation in 1986. He has always worked on the agency side from a risk management and marketing perspective.
He has served on advisory counsels for numerous insurance companies.

Ed started in the business in 1974, received his insurance license in 1976 and became owner of his own agency in 1977. In 1996, he joined Capital Insurance Group. He specializes in providing commercial coverages for business owners in retail, manufacturing, or mercantile enterprises. He has served on agency advisory councils for The Hartford, Royal Insurance Group and North Pointe Insurance Company.

Tom is an active member of the Detroit Chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) and dedicated to keeping up with the latest “best practices” in Risk Management.

Donn Johnson received his BBA in Economics and Insurance from Eastern Kentucky University in 1986. He worked from 1986 – 1996 as an insurance underwriter, bond underwriter and bond manager for Hartford Insurance Group, Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company and Great American Insurance Company respectively. Donn joined Capital Insurance Group in 1996 and became a partner in 2000. He specializes in handling bonds and insurance for contractors.

He taught in public schools until 1969 when he went to work with the Aetna Life & Casualty as an Assistant Supervisor. He was later promoted to Supervisor where he was in charge of the Detroit Area tax-sheltered annuity department. Bob joined the Capital Insurance group during its inception and has been here ever since.

Matthew is a Certified Risk Manager at Capital Insurance Group located in Bloomfield Hills, MI. He continues to help business owners identify and reduce the risks that drive up their insurance premiums.
